Last year it was announced that Simplyhealth House in Bristol had been shortlisted for ‘Best Commercial Building’ category at the Brick Awards and Webb Gray are pleased to announce that the building has again been shortlisted for another award. This time Simplyhealth House is a finalist in the British Council for Offices (BCO) prestigious annual awards. The BCO is an organisation that researches, develops and communicates best practice in all aspects of the office sector. The BCO awards seek to define excellence in office space and as such the annual awards programme provides public recognition for top quality design and functionality and a benchmark for excellence in workplaces. Simplyhealth House is one of the finalists for the ‘Corporate Workplace’ category and winners will be announced at the BCO awards dinner in Bristol in May.
Completed in 2013, Simplyhealth House is a 7 storey structure found in a high-profile area two miles north of Bristol City Centre. Its location adjacent to the historic Downs meant that Simplyhealth House fundamentally had to be visually appealing whilst also minimise energy use and carbon emissions by using renewable energy sources such as solar panels. The BREEAM Excellent scheme retained and recycled much of the demolition materials from the derelict structure demolished to make way for Simplyhealth House.
Webb Gray is pleased the offices‘ innovative design creating a light, airy open plan working environment alongside its compliance with the aesthetic requirements set by the buildings surroundings have been recognised by the BCO and look forward to the event in Bristol in May.
